The Lebanese army opened fire on Israeli drones in the south of the country for violating the country's airspace, and forced them to fly back to Israel. The Israeli army confirmed that Lebanese troops shot at Israeli surveillance drones but said they were not damaged. This comes days after Lebanese Shi'ite movement Hezbollah accused Israel of carrying out a drone attack on its Beirut stronghold. A recent series of airstrikes, blamed on Israel, have raised tensions between the two long-time enemies.
