Norwegians take part in 'dods' diving competition

They throw themselves into the air, twist their bodies and seemingly make time standstill, before landing with a splash. Originally a pastime to impress girls, Norway's sport of "death diving" now attracts dozens of daredevils. Around 40 divers converged in the capital, Oslo, in mid-August for the annual world championship of the sport, officially known by its Norwegian name of "dods" meaning death.
