Badagongshan Nature Reserve is home to about 2,500 plant species. The golden spider lily is one of those that stands out in the vastly green vegetation because of its bright color and curly petals.  Located in central China's Hunan Province, the mild and warm climate provides comfortable environment for the flower to thrive in early autumn.

From the wetlands along the coast to the dense rainforests hidden in the southwest, China boasts an array of plant species. In this series, we will go on a tour to learn about some of the most representative flora in different provinces and see how they live in harmony with the local geography and climate.
