The Changbai Mountains, sitting on the border between China and the DPRK, are home to a diverse range of flora and fauna. Lying at a higher altitude gives the Changbai Mountains a later summer than other southern regions.

In August, the area's taiga forest enters the rainy season. Many plants and animals thrive during this period. Check out these photos by CGTN Nature's film crew to learn more about the region.
