Hong Kong officials have condemned the weekend's violent acts, comparing some of them to terror. Hong Kong Secretary for Security John K.C. Lee said, "Radical protesters turned a blind eye to the rules. Their lawbreaking and violent deeds have increasingly escalated, showing signs of terrorism. They have comprehensively sabotaged the city's operations, order and rule of law."
