Tens of thousands of forest fires have been recorded in the Amazon, the world's largest rainforest, this year, causing global concern over the fate of the "Lungs of the Earth."

The Shanenawa tribe in Brazil's Acre State has about 720 people spread across 23,000 hectares of land.

Sixty percent of the Amazon is in Brasil, but fires have also been detected in Colombia and Peru where other parts of Amazon are located.
