An educator in Hong Kong has written an open letter calling for schools to become inclusive places. Professor Cheng Kai-ming is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Hong Kong. He said in the letter that he would ask teachers not to be neutral but to respect different political views. He said that if students wanted to organize a strike, the school could explain to them that it is not a place where their demands can be met and that they should respect classmates and teachers who have different views.
