Approaching typhoons bring torrential rains to Chinese coastal areas

Heavy rains have battered many areas of east China's Zhejiang Province and south China's Hainan Province due to approaching typhoons. The wet weather disrupted traffic and left some residents trapped. A red alert has been announced in some coastal cities, warning of extreme rainfall and calling all vessels back to port.
