At least ten people were killed and 42 others were wounded in a car bomb attack in central Kabul on Thursday, according to Afghan Interior Ministry spokesman Nasrat Rahimi.
The Taliban have claimed responsibility for the attack.
The blast took place in Shash Darak, a high security zone east of the Kabul including the National Directorate of Security (NDS), the Afghan intelligence service.
"Ambulances and rescue teams are being rushed to the blast site," Rahimi added.
