People from many fields in Hong Kong agree and support Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office (HKMAO) of the State Council‘s call for local economic development and life improvement as being very necessary. Hong Kong's communities should unite as one and promote the benefits of development to all Hong Kong residents.

Thomas Cheung, a member of the Basic Law Promotion Steering Committee, told CCTV in a report aired on Thursday that he felt the HKMAO actually hopes Hong Kong can focus more on economic and life development amid the process of restoring the social order after the violent protests end.

"I think the [Hong Kong Special Administrative Region's] government could introduce some measures, to restore the vitality of our economy and residents' confidence in the future." Cheung said.

Kacee Ting, vice chairman of Hong Kong Legal Exchange Foundation, said he believes Hong Kong's economy and political situation are a whole.

"I hope the [HKSAR] government can issue some policies to adjust the price of Hong Kong's property."

A member of the Legislative Council of HKSAR, Priscilla Leung, noted that Hong Kong's young people have tons of opportunities if they know how to seize them, such as "Belt and Road Initiative" and the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area."
