German chancellor pays official visit to China from September 6 to 7

German Chancellor Angela Merkel is paying an official visit to China from Friday to Saturday at the invitation of Premier Li Keqiang. The two held talks in Beijing's Great Hall of the People on Friday, following a welcome ceremony held there for Merkel earlier the same day. Merkel is also accompanied by a business delegation.
