Carrie Lam, chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, holds a press conference on the Hong Kong protests. Hong Kong has been suffering from escalating violence and protests since June. China's central government fully supports Carrie Lam and the Hong Kong government to take lawful acts to put an end to these violent protests, a spokesman from SCIO said on September 3.
