Alibaba’s Jack Ma steps down as chairman on National Teachers’ Day

Jack Ma stepped down as Alibaba’s chairman on September 10, the country’s Teachers‘ Day, handing the role over to the company’s current CEO Daniel Zhang. Ma will continue serving on Alibaba’s board until its annual general shareholders’ meeting in 2020, and also remains a lifetime partner of Alibaba Partnership.
