The 2019 Taiyuan International Marathon was held in the capital of north China’s Shanxi Province on September 8. Tens of thousands of marathon enthusiasts held a big Chinese national flag and passed it on. The move was to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of People’s Republic of China. More than 30,000 marathoners from 28 countries and regions around the world attended the event.
