Chinese President Xi Jinping has met with his Kazakh counterpart, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Wednesday. During talks, the two leaders agreed to expand their bilateral relations into what's called a "permanent comprehensive strategic partnership." Tokayev took office after succeeding long-time leader Nursultan Nazarbayev in March. He's in China at the invitation of President Xi.
