Huge arms trade fair in London triggers protests

The trade show will see more than 1,600 exhibitors from 70 countries at the center for a three-day sales negotiations, keynote speeches and hardware demonstrations. Dealers can find all kinds of cutting-edge military weapons, ranging from body armors to helicopters at the event. /VCG Photo

The biennial event, which is supported by the UK's Ministry of Defense and is a key part of the country's arms export strategy, is marking its 20th anniversary with its biggest event yet this year. /VCG Photo

However, the controversial event has been criticized for glorifying war and granting military and political benefits to countries committing severe human rights violations.
