Lantern fairs are held to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival in different parks of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Xinhua News Agency reports.
At Victoria Park, colorful lanterns have been displayed at a lantern fair since September 11. A large colored lamp installation named "Wishing Pavilion" lighted up the night, along with other lamps.
The "Wishing Pavilion" draws lots of attention, even before its official opening.
A man surnamed Zhang who visited Victoria Park with his granddaughter said the light is very vigorous and he was attracted by the big lamp installation. He said he will be back on the Mid-Autumn Festival again to enjoy the beautiful lights here.

This year's Victoria Park Mid-Autumn Lantern Fair will last till September 15, during which time various performances and activities will be held, including folk song and dance, traditional stage performances, riddle quiz, and traditional craft demonstrations.
Except Victoria Park, Sha Tin Park and Tsuen Wan Park will also hold their own Mid-Autumn Lantern Fair to cheer the festive mood.
On Wednesday night, Hong Kong Cultural Center Open Square exhibited an interactive light and shadow device "Very Full Moon," which projects the images of the full moon and legendary character Jade Rabbit on the center's pool, observation deck, and wall to mimic the movement of the moon.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional Chinese festival celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth month on lunar Chinese calendar, which falls on September 13 this year.
