As the world’s most populated country, China’s progress in poverty alleviation is also very important to the global community. In the past three decades, China has lifted 700 million people out of poverty. China has pledged to eradicate extreme poverty by next year, in order to meet the goal of building a moderately prosperous society by 2020.
