China’s coal conundrum: the switch to greener

Compared to the Yangtze River basin, the Yellow River basin that stretches from northwest China to the country's northern region, is often associated with a harsher natural environment but less resources. That, however, excludes the coal-rich Ordos basin, dubbed China’s “energy bank for the 21st century.”
