Residents and visitors in Macao celebrated the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival with lanterns and a firework show. Marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 20th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland, officials said this year's lantern show has added designs to represent this history. Tourists from all over the world joined Macao residents to watch a fireworks display at the Nanwan Lake. The Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most important  festivities in China that brings families together.
