Cold fronts hit the north-central region of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Wednesday, bringing the first snowfall to Tianchi. The mountains and spruce were intermittently visible in the thick fog.

Kalajun scenic area, which is situated deep in the Tianshan mountains in Ili Kazak Autonomous Prefecture also saw its first snow of the season on Wednesday. The accumulation of snow capped mountains in a pristine white, turning the mountains and grassland into a fairytale-like world.
