China's Flora Tour: Ancient forest stunning in all seasons
CGTN

Connecting Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Heilongjiang Province, Greater Hinggan Range is the best preserved and largest primitive forest in China.

The region is the northernmost part of China, with winters that usually last longer than seven months whilst summers around two months. The big difference in temperature therefore contributes to the distinctive views of the same forest in different seasons.

Such as the frost-covered world of white in winter.

And vibrant autumn views painted by golden leaves.

Or the endlessly stretching greenery in summer.

China's Flora Tour

From the wetlands along the coast to the dense rain forests hidden in the southwest of China, all boast an array of plant species. In this series, we will go on a tour to learn about some of the most iconic flora in different provinces and see how they live in harmony with the local climate and topography.
