Also known as "fairy islands," Changshan islands comprise 151 islands in China's Shangdong Province. Only a few locals live on the island, subsisting on farming and fishing. In comparison to China's busy metropolises, life on this island is quite idyllic; even the wildlife seems to enjoy a more relaxed pace of existence.
The Chinese egrets are migrating birds. They stop on the islands every summer to breed their chicks. They build their nests alongside the cliffs, fish in the shallow waters and take walks in the crop fields.
When the chicks grow up, they will follow their parents as they migrate to the south and back next spring.
