Chinese premier departs for three-day Russia visit

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang departed for Russia on Monday for an official three-day visit, at the invitation of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, reported Xinhua news agency.

During the visit, Li and Medvedev will hold the 24th regular meeting between Chinese and Russian heads of government.

The pair are expected to discuss ways to boost ties in economic cooperation and technological innovation.

Li will also meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
