The Toadhead agama is a small or medium-sized lizard that lives in open dry, hot areas that are either rocky or sandy, in Asia and East Europe.
When it's sunny and hot, the lizard stays underground.
It has partially fringed toes that enable it to walk on sand.
CGTN Nature's filming crew caught the creature on camera at the Kazak Autonomous County of Aksay in northwest China's Gansu Province.
