Foreign foods line supermarket shelves from Beijing to Shanghai, and Chinese products are sold in every corner of the globe. 

What would modern life be like if we rejected products or brands from other countries? What if rising protectionism made it impossible to buy from foreign businesses? 

To answer these questions, CGTN proposed a challenge: Try to live for one day without the global trade

We invited people from all over the world to film and share their experience and, in this episode, Jules from Canada and Ge Shuo from China tried “one day without Made in China” and “one day without foreign brands” respectively.
