The Genhe River is one of the major tributaries of the Ergun River, a boundary river between China and Russia. It flows southwestward on the Hulunbuir Grassland in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
Its headwater in the western slope of northeast China's Greater Khingan Range, the Genhe River is over 400 kilometers long and has a river basin covering nearly 16,000 square kilometers.
With a vast stretch of alluvial plain, the Genhe River wetland is one of the biggest and most intact wetlands in the country.
The CGTN Nature film crew has been shooting in the Hulunbuir Grassland.
