Updated 21:42, 19-Sep-2019

A city situated on the banks of the Yangtze River, Wuhan has a long history of ferry services. With a number of piers in the city, people can take the ferries for work and travel. At present, Wuhan's ferries have switched to natural gas, becoming the first domestic ferry system to apply LNG clean energy. Now, our southwest crew is ready to board the ferry to cross the Yangtze river.

Meanwhile, the southeast team is set to reach their final destination — Shanghai, one of China's global finance, innovation, technology, and transport hub. The northeast route crew will show you around Dalian City, the southernmost city of the Liaodong Peninsula in Liaoning Province.

CGTN's special program "New China" gives you an in-depth look at China 70 years on. The CGTN crew is on a 12-day journey across China's southwestern, southeastern, and northeastern regions. Don't miss it!
