Nine fishermen were rescued on Saturday after their boat lost power 55 sea miles southeast of Zhujiajian Island, east China's Jiangsu Province. Local authorities immediately launched an emergency rescue operation at around 11 a.m. Two helicopters were dispatched from Gaodong Airport and Wenzhou Longwan Airport for the rescue mission. Six fishermen were successfully airlifted despite strong winds brought by Typhoon Tapah. At around 3:20 p.m., the two helicopters landed safely at Wenzhou Airport. In the meantime, a nearby vessel coordinated by the Marine Search and Rescue Center rescued the remaining three fishermen.
