China and the Solomon Islands have signed a joint communique on the establishment of diplomatic relations. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Solomon Islands' Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade Jeremiah Manele signed the agreement during a ceremony in Beijing. Wang said China looks forward to the quick development of bilateral ties with the Solomon Islands.
