For decades, it was a place outsiders were forbidden to enter, and residents were forbidden to leave. Founded by the British in the 1920s and dubbed the Valley of Hope, Sungai Buloh in Malaysia was the world's second-largest leprosy settlement. Now, it draws city-dwellers to its plant nurseries.
