Go on 'the adventurous waste hunt' in new Beijing exhibition

Called the Adventure Waste Hunt, the Beijing International Design Week exhibition focuses on waste classification and sustainable environmental protection by asking visitors to participate in a storyline. 

The eAt the entrance of the exhibition, people can scan the QR code to enter the voice guide and be part of the story.

The exhibition uses interesting stories to explain the serious harm caused by waste and to share the knowledge of garbage classification methods, which is popular among children.

The exhibition is also working with artists for sustainable art exhibitions, changing the perception of recyclable waste. Artist Ma Sai brought his lighting device named "Kuang Dang Kuang Dang." It used waste cloth with light in it to form a lane of light and shadow, which can flicker with the rhythm of the surrounding music.

Shanghai Narwhale Ocean Research Center, focusing on recycling marine garbage and coral conservation, has a recycling bicycle on display. It crushes plastic bottles into small pieces while you ride the bike, and bring the pieces into next recycle step.

Jamie Zeng, the artist curator of the exhibition said that the aim of the exhibition is to guide people to establish the concept of environmental protection with the hopes of being environmentally friendly as part of peoples' lifestyles.
