Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met Malawian Foreign Minister Francis Kasaila on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. Both sides agreed to deepen their cooperation and elevate bilateral ties. Wang Yi said China is ready to work with Malawi on the consensus reached by the two heads of state last year at the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation. Kasaila said his country looks forward to deepening ties with China and welcomes more Chinese business investment.
