HK police invited for National Day celebrations in Beijing

Lau Cha-kei, station sergeant of the Hong Kong police tactical unit, arrived at Beijing on September 29 to attend China’s 70th National Day celebrations. This is his first trip visiting Beijing, accompanied by 10 HK police officers. Lau said that he has been looking forward to visiting the Great Wall since he was a child, and he went to the Great Wall just on the second day after his arrival. He is also expecting to take a look at the military parade. Lau got famous on Chinese social media with an image of him aiming a gun outside the Kwai Chung police station to stop the violent protest.
