"My Motherland and I" has become an unofficial anthem in China and the National Day gala, underway at Tian'anmen Square. Spectators on every corner of the square joined their voices in singing "My Motherland and I," accompanied by members of the China Disabled People's Performing Art Troupe who sang the song.
