This year's military parade consisted of 15 foot formations, many of which marched for the first time in China's National Day celebrations taking place in Beijing.

The formation of the People's Liberation of Army (PLA) Strategic Support Force, Joint Logistic Support Force, and civilian staff in the armed forces made their first public appearances in the military parade.
