China's 70th National Day gala on Tuesday night featured a music and fireworks routine, with dancers performing to the song "Good News From Beijing Coming to Border Villages." The song debuted in 1976 and depicts the jubilant scenes in the countryside when news traveled from the capital announcing the end of the Cultural Revolution. The folk song features traditional melody from the Miao and Yi ethnic groups and is divided into seven parts.
