A formation of senior officers marched through Beijing's Tian'anmen Square on Tuesday, marking its first public appearance at a military parade as part of China's National Day celebrations.

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, military authorities from five theater commands created an unprecedented formation.

Featuring 27 generals, the most in Chinese parade's history, this formation consists of 352 personnel, aged 24-59, led by Major Generals Jiang Guoping and Chen Zuosong.
