In the past decade, Sino-Africa relations have increased and have been moving from strength to strength each day.
Africa-China people-to-people exchanges have helped to foster relations between these two counterparts. These enriching and valuable exchanges are rarely publicized or promoted. So I saw an opportunity to take to the outside world on a journey to China from a first-person perspective.
"China through my eyes" is a one-minute promotional video, that touches on China's culture, cuisine and the warm spirit of its people. It is meant to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
Since my first trip to China in 2015, I am still in awe and mesmerized by its breath-taking beauty, rich cultural heritage and the warm spirit of its people.
"How different do I want this China trip to be?" I silently pondered after being informed of my second opportunity to travel to China.

As I was packing my bags, it hit me.
I wanted to create a promotional video documenting the unique experiences I was set to live in China from an individual's perspective.
On arrival in Beijing, I hit the ground running, enlisting the help of my colleagues. Making sure my camera was in hand each step of the way. Dinner using Chopsticks – click! Enjoying the sites and sounds – click! Making new friends… Click! Click!

I chose a themed approach to the promo, focusing on aspects China is well renowned for. From culture, cuisine, ancient sites to personal experiences.
