The National Speed Skating Hall for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics has adopted a unique design in the shape of an ice ribbon, which resembles the trails of skaters.

It is located near Beijing 2008 Olympic Games venues "Bird's Nest", "Water Cube" and the Olympic Green Tennis Center, indicating the city's close ties with Olympic games.

The outer structure is a curved surface made of over 3,000 pieces of glass. 

There are 22 tube-shaped lights outside the walls, shaped to give the venue the "Ice Ribbon" name.

The main part of the construction is to complete by the end of 2019.
