Recorded civilian death roll from the 18 year Afghan War reaches 32,000

According to a UN report released in February, after 18 years of war in Afghanistan, more than 32,000 civilian deaths had been recorded. Almost 4,000 were killed in 2019 alone, including almost 1,000 children. The number of deaths in this single year is the highest in the country's history.
