China claimed an easy win of 7-0 over Guam at home on Thursday, taking their second straight win in Group A in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification tournament in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

The game became a foregone conclusion in the first half as China led 6-0 in the first 45 minutes. Yang Xu scored the team's first goal before adding another three under his name. Wu Lei who plays for La Liga's RCD Espanyol and Wu Xi took one goal respectively for China.

Though Guam have multiple overseas-born players in their franchise, they were in nature an amateur team. According to The Beijing News, the total market value of their players was only 275,000 euros (about 303,000 U.S. dollars), even less than one percentage of China.

Moreover, Gaum's performance in this group before meeting China was disappointing enough. They first lost to the Maldives 1-0 on September 2 and then again was beaten by the Philippines 4-1 on September 10.

As Ai Kesen scored another goal for China in the second half, the home team won their second game after defeating the Maldives 5-0 a month earlier. They will challenge the Philippines on October 15.
