South Asia is on Chinese President Xi Jinping's itinerary. On October 11, he will be in India for his second informal meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Over the weekend, President Xi will pay a state visit to Nepal, at the invitation of its president, Bidhya Devi Bandari. This will be the first state visit by a Chinese president to the country in 23 years.
