Paris' metro got an "Asterix" themed makeover to celebrate the comic book's 60th birthday. Twelve metro stations were temporarily renamed to pay tribute. Beloved characters from the French comic also showed up to pose for photos with fans. The Asterix series is a mainstay of the publishing industry, with more than 370 million books sold worldwide since 1959.
