Chinese vice premier in Washington for high-level meetings

Chinese Vice Premier Liu He said that he is willing to cooperate with the U.S. on issues pertaining to balance of trade, market access, and investor protection. The 13th round of high-level talks on October 10 in Washington were said to have lasted about seven hours. Liu sat down with U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer. Earlier, Liu met with the leaders of the International Monetary Fund and U.S. business groups. On October 11, Liu will meet U.S. President Donald Trump.
