The vandalizing of public facilities by violent Hong Kong protesters has caused tremendous damage and inconvenience to residents, forcing them to wait for hours to use basic facilities like metro trains. A total of 125 out of 161 metro stations and 1,200 turnstiles have been severely damaged in the months-long violent protests. The metro staff worked around the clock to repair the facilities, but they couldn't match the speed of rioters' destruction.
