Some little egrets found peace in a lake in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality.

The white birds were seen leaving slight trails on the water surface and from the photos one can almost hear them splashing. 

The city has the first Egrets' natural reserve in the country.

The little egret is the most common member of the Egret genus. Like other members, it grows long head plumes during breeding season.
