Chinese President Xi Jinping is in India for the second informal summit with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

At the two leaders' informal meeting in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, President Xi noted that the region has been closely connected with China since ancient times, as Tamil Nadu was a maritime transit hub for cargo on the ancient Silk Road. In addition to cultural connections, counter-terrorism was another key theme of their meeting.
