Cheung Ka-Hou, from Macao, born in 1988, used to be a bank staff and then an assistant to a legislative council member in his hometown. Now he has built an Internet platform for legal services in Shenzhen. When asked about the reason why he came to the Chinese mainland to start a business, Cheung replied that he disagreed with the view held by many people from the Chinese mainland that the Macanese are content with an easy life. Many years ago, the senior Hong Kongese and Macanese wouldn't come to the Chinese mainland unless they couldn't make a living. But it has changed now, as one must be capable enough to work here.
