Albanian team leaves for China to attend Military World Games 2019

A nine-member Albanian team has left for China to participate in the Military World Games 2019 to be held in Wuhan City, central China's Hubei Province from October 18 to 27, Albanian Defense Minister Olta Xhacka announced on Tuesday.

Through a post on social media platform Facebook, Xhacka said, "Albanian national flag was handed over to the national champion athlete and also corporal in the Military Police Luiza Gega."

The Albanian military team will compete in the 1,500-meter and 3,000-meter, marathons, freestyle wrestling and judo, a statement by the Albanian Armed Forces (AAF) said.

The Chief of General Staff of the AAF, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollcaku expressed his strong belief that the Albanian military team will come back with trophies.

This is the third time Albania is participating in the Military World Games, a multi-sport event organized every four years since 1995.
